First Recovery provides both data storage/reinstatement and emergency disaster recovery services free of charge for SME-sized companies, via our insurance industry partners.

Standard insurance policies will cover the cost of recovering from a disaster – but in the first instance it is down to you, the insured, to agree, organise and pay for all services required to get back up and running. However, some insurance policies include First Recovery at no additional charge, providing a pre-packaged suite of data and disaster recovery services to the insured. In the event of mobilisation, First Recovery recovers its costs directly from the insurer – not from you.

When disaster strikes, SMEs need to be in touch with staff, customers and suppliers, letting them know that business is as usual. This is not possible without offices, an IT / telecommunications network, and essential data.

Within one working day, First Recovery organises quality offices as close as possible (usually less than 5 miles) to the afflicted business location, complete with furniture, filing space, meeting rooms, reception staff, network/telephone/fax connections, and internet/e-mail access. We provide an Event Manager to attend on site to co-ordinate activities: delivery and installation of networked PCs, reinstatement of data, redirection of phone lines - as well as liaising with insurers, their loss adjusters and brokers.
